Dongseo Oriental Medical Center was founded as the first oriental-occidental medical clinic in Seoul on May 10th, 1984 based on its parent hospital ‘Park Sang-dong Oriental Clinic’that was opened on 9th floor, Sekwang Building on November, 1971. Since constructing its systematic, scientific treatment system through complementary cooperation between oriental and occidental medical treatments, the hospital has steadily been making efforts to develop the treatment of stroke and cerebrovascular diseases in Korea for almost 40 years

For international medical exchanges, Dongseo Oriental Medical Center team has concluded in 1997 an agreement with Liaoning Paralyisis (Stroke) Medical Center in China for cooperation as a sister hospital. Since then, the hospital has periodically visited the sister hospital to exchange clinical materials and medical information as well as to make academic exchanges
For the medical cooperation at home, the hospital has also concluded an agreement with domestic major hospitals such as Kyunghee University Medical Center, Yonsei University of Medicine, Gangnam Severance Hospital, Mary’s Hospital of Catholic University of Korea, Kyunghee University Hospital at Gangdong, and Yongsan Hospital of Chung-Ang University Hospital, and now it is working for medical development for medical exchanges and patients referrals. |
